Cara Tannenbaum, MD, MSc.
| Dr. Cara Tannenbaum graduated from Medical School at McGill University and completed her internal medicine residency in 1998. She then completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at McGill with an additional clinical year of training in Older Women’s Health and Urinary Incontinence. She obtained a Master`s degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from McGill University in 2003 and is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Montreal. She will hold the University of Montreal's new Endowed Chair in Older Women`s Health which will be inaugurated in the near future. |
Research interests Research interests include clinical and health outcomes in older women in the areas of healthy aging, service delivery, hormone replacement therapy, osteoporosis, urinary incontinence, and body composition and endogenous sex hormones. She studies the impact on the individual and society. She recently conducted a national survey on older women's unmet health priorities, and is currently looking at developing and validating new indicators of emotional health for women. She uses mixed qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. |
